The keyboard and the enclosed car are designed iDriving is performed by a traction pulley by means of a regulated drive machine in the shaft headroom via
traction ropes which connect the car with a counterweight.

Sembra che manchi qualcosa dopo "... are designed..." e che si tratti di due frasi distinte. La seconda frase dovrebbe essere "Driving is performed by a traction pulley..."
Altrimenti come va interpretata?

Secondo me si tratta, quindi, di "driving":

Ed è perciò chiaro che, come tu stessa supponevi, manchi una parte, di dimensioni non note, tra l'interruzione della frase dopo "are designed" e il termine "driving" (e non "iDriving"). Dovresti perciò chiedere informazioni in merito al cliente.
