towing Explanation: I asked the original poster privately for the rest of the context to protect confidentiality. The name of the barcaza (which turns out to be a huge lifting double barge used for clearing shipwrecks and debris) gave me the hint I needed to know that it was being towed. There's even an article about how it broke off from its towline. This ship's log is for the vessel towing the barge. Thus, "a la tira" here means "towing". |
