When Angeline was 18, she either wanted to become a
translator, or a saxophone player. In the end she became both. She auditioned at the
Tilburg Conservatory in the Netherlands, and was accepted, and she has been a
saxophonist and music teacher ever since.
Besides playing music and teaching she has always
loved literature and language, specifically English. In 2015 she decided to
take this love to the next level and she started studying at ITV, the Institute
for Interpreting and Translating in Utrecht. She finished this four-year
studies in three years, and graduated top of her class as an English-Dutch translator in 2018. After her studies she started her own translation
service Silver Translations.
Angeline is very precise and organized, never misses a
deadline, and she will handle your texts with the utmost care. She has an eye
for detail, and a fine sense of the aesthetic side of language, and offers high-quality
translations as well as editing services.
Being a well-read person with a broad general
knowledge, Angeline is able to deliver translations on a wide range of
subjects. Her specialties are:
- -Food & Lifestyle (cuisine, health, fashion, home)
- -Arts & Culture (music, dance, theatre, opera, museums, arts
education)
-Literature (fiction, non-fiction, short stories, essays)
- -Marketing (websites, promotional material)
- -Politics and News (newspaper and magazine articles)
Outside of work, Angeline loves to read and to cook. These loves are combined in her ever expanding cookbook collection. When she is
not reading or cooking, her favourite activities are visiting the theatre,
concerts, festivals and museums.
