Spanish term

que se haya ejecutado

The Donor will pay the 60% of the Contribution within .... working days following/upon the signing of this Agreement, equivalent to USD ..... (amount in letters), and the remaining 40%, equivalent to USD .... (amount in letters) will be paid once at least 80% of the first transfer has been spent/used.

Cabe destacar que no estoy muy segura de la posición de "at least"
Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): Yvonne Gallagher

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Hugh Thomson Mar 8, 2019:
To me, this sounds as if these are pre-payments for work to be carried out, e.g. construction. Thus, the second tranche (the remaining 40%) is due to be paid when work to the value of at least 80% of the first payment has been ***executed***. ¿Que opináis chic@s?
Lydianette Soza (asker) Mar 8, 2019:
Hi Phil,

Actually the "Contribution" refer to funds to be given for a project.
philgoddard Mar 8, 2019:
My first thought was to agree with Juan Arturo, but it can't mean "80% of the transfer has been carried out", because presumably the transfer is all made in one go.
I may be wrong, but I don't see how "ejecutado" can mean spent or disbursed.
What is this money for?
Richard Cadena Mar 8, 2019:
I am wondering if you could say that 80% of such funds have been"disbursed".
Lydianette Soza (asker) Mar 8, 2019:
Aunque analizandolo mejor y tratanto de componer mi traducción también podría ser:

...will be paid when at least the 80% of the first Contribution has been spent.

Spanish term (edited): que se haya ejecutado
Selected

has been expended

Yes, Lydianette, you're right, it means spent or used, but in the sense of "used up" or "depleted". I've seen "ejecutar" used like this in countless procurement documents regarding the use of government appropriations.

"...once at least 80% of the first transfer has been expended..."

expend
Spend or use up (a resource such as money or energy)
...
‘You will be expending money that could better be spent on policing, which is what the budget is there for.’

Regarding the use of "execution," I have my doubts skeptical about using that word here. Although there are several examples of its use in this sense available online, I have a feeling that it's translationese, because many instances are in World Bank documents, whereas it's hard to find this term in, say, US legislation.
Peer comment(s):

agree Yvonne Gallagher : Yes, the first tranche of funds must be 80% used before the rest of the transfer is made. Very common in procurement.

to carry out

Así como lo tienes. Otra opción: to carry out.
Note from asker:
Hi Juan, Thanks for the answer, but do we really "carry out" funds? I thought that "spend" or even "use" would be a good translation, but let's wait to see the answers of the other colleagues.

executed

Certainly you could use "executed" if it was a budget, so it might work here.
