In the sentence "Selve dåpen av fartøyet finner sted 10. april, og det blir Forsvarets markering av overtagelsen", what would be appropriate for 'markering'?

In English it would sound more natural to use the verb form "to mark", for example: "... on 10 April, and the Norwegian Armed Forces will use the occasion to mark the handover."

agree jeffrey engberg : yes, but mark? makes no sense at all. I think celebration is good. To be sure, when the same event is celebrated next year, it will become a commemoratio!
