presider over Baptism
I am translating a Polish Baptismal certificate from the 1800's. At the end it states "baptisavit J. Drezewicki cooperator loci." As it is handwritten, the initial "c" might actually be something else, and the "t" might be a "d."
Any ideas? My understanding is that this person performed the Baptism.

Latin term (edited):
cooperator loci
parish assistant
"co-operator" can mean assistant in Ecclesiastic jargon and "locus"-1 place, spot but also district, region ( or in this context, parish ).
Cave canem! (my favourite Latin expression!)

: Since 'cooperari' means to 'work together, collaborate', its cognate substantive would certainly make sense in this context.
