Discussion

Wilman (asker) Nov 4, 2008:
My interpretation for the term is that the intellectuals keep their thoughts to themselves. It is different from being conservative, introvert, secluded, and hermit. Does the term carry such meaning here? Thanks.
tianshandun (X) Nov 4, 2008:
Yurek Nov 4, 2008:

FYI

Yurek Nov 4, 2008:
conservative, conservativity

Reservedness

This term conveys a sense of being hesitant to reveal thoughts and beliefs which, IMHO, fits some Chinese intellectuals.
