keep up with the times

This would be a more colloquial way of saying it - the way a native English speaker would expect to see it written or hear it said and fully understand the meaning.
Peer comment(s):

agree Summit : 2 minutes late, you lost 2 graders with the same suggestion. Now I begin to wonder what Time difference can make to one's life.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thank you for your help, Elizabeth, especailly the explaination. The "most helpful answer" does not need to be the quicker or earliest one. ;) Also thanks to all other answerers. Earning Kudoz points is good, but even without it, still apprecaite your enjoying helping and giving. "

keep pace with time

Thanks, Perry and Elizabeth.
英雄所见略同( Great minds think alike.)^_^. 我刚刚加上\"keep pace with the times\",就发现两位跟我想到一块儿去了. 一开始我想到的是\"时间\", 所以用了TIME, 后来查阅资料,发现应将它理解为\"时代\", 故定为\"times\". Cheers!

Dear native English speakers:

I sincerely hope that you can read my answer carefully before proposing a similar or same answer, assuming that you can read Chinese. From your comments on my answers here and there, I found that you don\'t even read Chinese. If so, how could you manage to do Chinese->English translatioln?

Pls. note: I said the above [此处\"与时俱进\" 有 \"跟上时代的步伐\" 或 \"与时代的脉搏保持一致\"之意, 故\"keep pace with the times \" 更为贴切, 因为 \"time\" 用作复数有 \"时代\" 的意思.(请参照下面例句).] earlier than anyone else here, i.e. I was the first one who proposed and approved the usage of \"keep up with the times\", and the exact time was: Sept 12, 3:04.59, 2002.\" Pls. check and confirm.

Yes, I am not a native English speaker. But, that\'s very thing I am happy about. You know why? Because I am proud to be a native speaker of CHINESE, and I totally understand the content of the source text.

One more suggestions: Read my notes in Chinese again. If you don\'t understand them, contact me at [email protected]. Good luck !
