What is the meaning of this term "Heritage! in "Introduction and Heritage", as a section title in the description of a medical entity or disease? This is pahrmaveutial marketing information for medical circles about a disease entity.
Does it mean Introduction and known facts" or Intruction and History"?

Hi Lisa, it's not about patients. It's about a disease. For of like a journal article about a disease, but in a marketing context.

There's a possibility it's about the patient's family history, and if any members of his or her family, particularly parents have suffered from a similar medical condition. In fact, any medical conditions experienced by the patient's natural parents are relevant to the question of heritage, and a possible prediction about what other medical condition the patient might have. I think it means introduction and known facts about the patient's own history and family history.
