: Yours is the best option. It's explained in Vol. II, Chap. 4 of ROM 2.0-11 (Puertos del Estado, 2019) but I can't find an English translation. Only volume I has been translated :-(

prevalently used cross(-)over
traslación transversal : cross-loading of products including LNG or cross-docking of goods.
mediante traslación transversal preponderante : or, by means of overriding (prevalent) use of cross(-)over to avoid the ambiguity of overriding the use of such.
Connect the terminal loading arms to the LNG cross-overs and one vapour crossover. This operation is normally done by the terminal personnel.
Only LNG carriers that have successfully passed the Ship Approval Procedure (5 steps) may dock at the LNG terminal.
dominant transverse movement
Those are terms that correspond to the calculation of kinetic energy
DEVELOPED BY A SHIP IN DOCKING OPERATIONS.
Vb= Speed of the approach of the vessel to berth at impact. The use of auxiliary means in docking operations such as tugs, moorings, or other docking aids reduces the speed of approximation.

Transverse thrust is the tendency for a forward or astern running propeller to move the stern to starboard or port. Transverse thrust is caused by interaction between the hull, propeller and rudder. The effect of transverse thrust is a slight tendency for the bow to swing to port on a ship with a right-handed propeller turning ahead.
Transverse thrust is often used to help bring the ship’s stern alongside during berthing. When a propeller is put astern on a ship moving forward at speed, the initial effect of transverse thrust is slight. However, as the ship’s forward motion decreases, the effect of transverse thrust increases. It is essential for a master to understand just how much effect transverse thrust has on his particular ship.

Yvonne, thank you but my confidence level is 0! I only ever post answers with translations I would use for myself.
