Hei! I have a medical text about a patient with lung cancer that contains this word, the context is below:

".. basale pleura .. to trådformede vevsbiter med lengde 22 mm, samt en del fnokk legges i blokk 1-1."

I just can't find any definition to fit this, can anyone help?

Just shout if you need more context.

Mvh,
Alison.

Fnokk Although these may not literally be ‘floccules”, I think the term is being used because of their appearance.

tissue and fluff placed in block 1-1? basal pleura .. two thread-shaped pieces of tissue with a length of 22 mm, as well as some fluff are placed in block 1-1

Histology report It's part of a histology report taken of sample tissue of lung cancer cells, does this help you at all? Sorry, I'm not a scientist, I don't really know how much detail you need. (A CT scan shows the patient has a malignant mesothelioma, likely of epithelioid type.)
