Spanish term

Refutación del Testigo

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general) Legal
Hola, estoy traduciendo una "refutación del testigo" y como posibles traducciones tengo "rebuttal of witness" o "witness' rebuttal".
¿cuál sería la opción más adecuada?
Saludos.

Asker Are you rhere? It appears that you are unwilling to post context to your questions. People are unlikely to want to help you if you continue to ignore requests for context. Translation of a term such as this is not done in isolation, it belongs within a sentence and specific context and this is crucial for legal translation. Consider.

Isn't it a witness rebuttal rather than a rebuttal witness? I agree that we need the context.
AllegroTrans Apr 29, 2021:
Asker, more context please Please (a) post the complete sentence (b) tell us what your documet is
Adrian MM. Apr 29, 2021:
More context needed - namely if it is a rebuttal witness in court or the context is one of discrediting or challenging e.g. a testamentary witness who has attested a Last Will and Testament.

"Rebuttal is disproof, negation, refutation, invalidation, defeat or defense. It's a statement in a legal and logical form, which states something on behalf of a group or an individual at a legal proceeding. In law, rebuttal is a form of evidence presented to contradict or nullify other evidence presented by an adverse group or individual. In law, specific rules apply to rebuttal, rebuttal evidence or rebuttal witnesses which all must be confined solely to the subject matter of the evidence rebutted."
