Aufschlussreich ist auch der sogenannte Vorbeugetest oder Adams-Test. Dabei beugt der Betroffene bei gestreckten Beinen seinen Oberkörper um etwa 90 Grad nach vorne und lässt die Arme herunterhängen. Betrachtet man nun seinen Rücken von hinten, fällt bei einer Skoliose meist auf, dass eine Seite höher steht als die andere, dass sich eine Art Buckel (Rippenbuckel) bildet. Auch die Lendenmuskeln treten auf dieser Seite deutlicher hervor (Lendenwulst).
