reflexivity

Reflexivity for linguists is the ability to use language to refer to itself, studied by Jacobson and others, which is what makes language special as a mode of communication, and it is thus the correct translation of autorreferencialidad in English. Self-referencing etc. means only referring to the self, which is only one aspect of autorreferencialidad.

See http://works.bepress.com/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1019&co... In pragmatic theory, ‘reflexivity’ labels the ways
language inevitably refers to itself (Jakobson, 1960;
Silverstein, 1979; Lucy, 1993; Taylor, 2000). The reflexive
function of language is easiest to see in overtly
metalinguistic genres such as dictionaries and usage
guides, but every utterance is potentially normative,
providing a model for one way utterances can sound
and be structured and how recurring.

However it's true that "self-referentiality" gets used in the same way by some linguists, and it may be - I'm not sure - that "reflexividad" has a similar meaning in Spanish linguistics, in which case it doesn't make sense to change the term in English. But if you're looking for elegance and simplicity, I would go with "reflexivity" rather than the cumbersome "self-referentiality".
