Yes, it could very well be a typo. I would ask your client if I were you just to make sure it's the correct term in order to avoid "wild guesses". Take care and good luck! :)
Marian Greenfield (asker) Feb 28, 2010:
Could be a typo... but the text does clearly say "pônei". Thanks.

Could it be "pedra pomes" maybe? I didn't find any references on google for "pedra pônei". I've never heard of it. Anyway, good luck! ;)

anti-moisture material that resembles pumice rock

That's why I think they may be talking about "pedra pome" or "pumice rock" which is a type of rock that doesn't absorb moisture and is very rough. And it's definitely the kind of material to be placed around a swimming pool to avoid slip and fall accidents.

But, like I said, it's best to ask your client to be certain that "pedra pome" is the correct term. :)

I'm pretty sure you're right... Thanks much!!!!

agree Evans (X) : I think anti-moisture is better than water-proofing in this context, because the latter suggests water repellent and impermeable, whereas the idea of a pumice-like surface would be to wick the water away.
