Medical
Medical (general)
informed consent (US)
• Sólo se le administrará un medicamento a menos que su médico haya determinado que tiene o ha tenido un problema (por ejemplo, rechazo) que requiere que tome más de un inmunosupresor.
Draft:
• You will only be administered one drug unless your doctor has specified that you have or have had a problem (for example, rejection) that required you to take more than one immunosuppressant.
Is this what the author is meaning. To me, it doesn't seem quite right.

: You add other immunosuppressants if rejection seems probable clinically. A scheme may have up to three drugs.

is your problem with 'un medicamento'?
You will only be administered a single drug unless your doctor has determined that you have or have had a problem (for example, rejection) that requires you to take more than one immunosuppressant.
Discussion
Your Draft:
• You will only be administered one drug unless your doctor has specified that you have or have had a problem (for example, rejection) that required you to take more than one immunosuppressant.
I WOULD SAY:
• You will only be administered one drug unless your doctor has ** determined ** that you have or have had a problem (for example, rejection) that **requires** you to take more than one immunosuppressant.
Seems clear: Rejection may require you to take more than one immunosuppressant; one may not treat all conditions/symptoms. Example, HIV, you have a “cocktail”, a combination of several drugs (immunosuppressants). Hope this helps!
I believe that is what the author is meaning.
