Alternative to InDesign, worth it? Thread poster: Jose Fernandez

Hello, At our company, we are wondering if there is another application that can handle InDesign files (INDD). We get a lot of jobs that use this format, and we are looking for a more cost-effective solution to Adobe's subscription service. Are there any other applications that could replace InDesign in this scenario? Is the switch worth it? I appreciate any input you can provide.
