A huge environmental impact evaluation from Swedish into Finnish. As a lifelong learner I really enjoy everything I learn from these! All the nitty-gritty and the cumulative effects of little things you don't normally even think about. I have a huge respect for the scientists and consultants who do all the fieldwork and put these reports together! 1 user Annotation! This is kind of like marking student essays, except that your student is an AI application. Explaining Finnish grammar is a challenge, and boy, do I enjoy challenges! Lately I've been investing time in learning about AI and its various possible uses for a translator. So far I've found it most useful in finding definitions for words I don't know, or familiar words used in new contexts, which can definitely speed up terminology research. Also, if I don't feel my sharpest, I can also ask AI for a list of synonyms which also speeds up the process. I haven't really gotten into the "prompt engineering" side of it all, but already now I think AI is a useful addition to my toolbox. Have you tried AI, and what are your thoughts about it? Translating a user manual of a thermal oxygen lance from Swedish to Finnish, and learning new vocabulary! Editing ~7500 words about human rights in business, and learning new business vocabulary! Just finished editing 304 words. A nice little breakfast project! I recently finished ca. 2000 words on female hygiene products. Translating one part of an environmental impact assessment from Swedish into Finnish, ca. 9000 words. I just completed 'Introduction to Humanitarian Translation for the TWB Community' course by Translators Without Borders! |
