Operations of KGI's division in Japan are measured using Japanese Yen as the functional currency.
Assets and liabilities of the Japanese subsidiary are translated into U.S. dollars at the exchange rates
in effect as of the consolidated balance sheet date, and results of operations are translated using the
average rates in effect for the periods presented. Translation gains and losses are reported as foreign
currency translation adjustments under accumulated other comprehensive income in stockholder's
equity.

My professional background of relevance here consists of 5 years of programming at BrasilTelecom, web designing in Florida (USA) for about one year, the teaching of English in schools in Brazil for a couple of years and since 2008 I have been working as freelance translator.
All I can say is that I have worked in very different working environments, from kitchens, bars to IT offices, some very open minded and friendly and others completely the opposite.
