Program 1 Participation Agreements


Article 1

LINK (“the Company” from now on) and the program participants (“the Participants” from now on) agree to form the following contract to stipulate each side’s basic rights and duties in participating the Company’s camps.

Article 2

Participating in the camps are limited to former and current K-12 teachers, English education majors, or college graduates of such program. Anyone who is not proportioned to this program’s purpose, or has criminal records is not eligible.

Article 3

To participate in the program, fill out the designated participation application, and apply with resume with picture of the applicant attached along with a letter of recommendation. There are no separate fees for participating in the program.

Article 4

Contents that are Offered: Roundtrip airfares, food and lodging, 3 nights and 4 days of field trips to Korean tourist attraction destinations, travelers’ insurance, and allowance of $500 (4 weeks) are issued during the program’s period. The allowance will be issued at once with its entire amount of $500 after the camps are over and the field trips begin.

Contents that are Not Offered: Personal expenditures and merchandise buying costs other than the offered contents are not included.


Article 5

1. The participants must follow the laws of the program’s hosting country.
2. The participants must adhere to the rules of the program’s operators.
3. The participants have the obligation to report their medical disease records to “Gap”. All accidents and medical disease occurrences during the camps that are results of not having been reported to “Gap” are not the responsibilities of “Gap.”
4. Food and lodging will be provided at the English camp sites for the Korean 4th grade elementary to 3rd grade middle school students.
5. English teaching sessions will be held for 6 hours a day at the English camp sites for the Korean 4th grade elementary to 3rd grade middle school students. (There will be about 10-14 students per class, and an English speaking Korean teacher’s aide will assist.)
6. The teaching flows and contents are to be proportioned to the curriculums set by “Gap.”
7. The participants shall fully cooperate and participate in the Mission (programs where students play roles such as bank and store that were given to them and exchange merchandises) during the camp period.
8. The participants shall perform activities during weekends with the students at the camp.
9. The students who participate in the camp may stay for different periods, and “Eul” shall stay in the camp for 4 weeks of contract period.
10. While staying in the camps, all participates should cooperate fully and follow the directions of “Gap’s operator.
11. After 4 weeks, there will be trips around Korea for 3 nights and 4 days. “Gap” will schedule these trips. The teachers’ aides or volunteer students will work as tour guides during the trips.
12. During the camp period, no one is permitted to go outside the camp, unless approved by “Gap.”
13. No alcoholic beverages are permitted during the camp.
14. Smoking is allowed in designated areas only at the camp.
15. During the camp, unlawful acts onto students such as physical touching, beating, or saying curse words are prohibited.
16. Responsibilities of safeguarding personal valuable items of the participants solely rest on the participants.

Article 5

In cases of minor violations of the rules, “Gap” may issue warnings.
In cases of serious violations, “Gap” may order “Eul” to leave the country, and in such case, “Eul” must pay within 15 days of arriving at his or her country the roundtrip airfare cost and a fine of $1,000 US dollars to “Gap.”
When a violation is deemed to be an unlawful act, it will be reported immediately to the legal authorities, and immediate order of leaving the country will be issued.


Article 6

1. If a participant is seen by “Gap” as canceling participation application unilaterally for personal reasons without legitimate ground, “Gap” may ask to pay the below bills to “Eul”, and “Eul” must agree to these terms. If “Eul” does not agree and refuses to pay the bills, all legal costs from the ensuing legal actions must be paid by “Eul” as well.

a. Canceling before 20 days from the program departing date: Pay a fine of 20% of airfare.
b. Canceling before 10 days from the program departing date: Pay a fine of 50% of airfare.
c. Canceling before 1 day from the program departing date: Pay a fine of 80% of airfare.

2. In case of death of an immediate family member of participant (No cancellation fees.)
3. In case of bodily injury of participant and so unable to participate in the trips (No cancellation fees if doctor’s diagnosis paper is submitted.)

Article 7


1. If there are differences of opinions arise between the Company and the Participants during the processes of fulfilling the terms of this contract, first, each shall engage to solve the issues with good faith.
2. If there are legal actions and suits to be filed regarding the No. 1 item above to solve matters, suits are to be filed at the courts located in the Company’s district.


Article 8

1. In cases where the Company is naturally not responsible for occurrences resulting in harms to the participants, such as natural disasters, other disasters, orders from the government, orders from public agencies, war, political upheavals, airplane hijacking, riots, calamities, frauds, injuries, or diseases, the Company is not responsible for the damages.


2. “Gap” must enroll in the participants’ foreign travel insurance during the camp period.

3. The participants must go through orientation before departing, and during traveling, must follow the directions of the group leader.

4. If there are changes to be made in this agreement, the Company and the Participants shall sign the new terms upon agreeing fully with each other.

Program 1 참가약관


제1조

LINK (이하 "당사"라 한다)와 프로그램 참가자 (이하 "참가자"라 한다)간에 당사의 캠프에 참가함에 있어 상호간의 권리와 의무에 관한 기본적인 사항을 정하기 위해서 다음과 같이 기본 계약을 체결한다.

제2조

참가 자격은 전,현직 K1 ~ 12 선생님이거나 영어 교육 전공자 또는 해당 학과 졸업자에 한 한다. 단 본 프로그램의 성격에 위배되는 참가자나 범죄 관련 경력을 가진자는 프로그램에 참여 할 수 없다.

제3조

이 프로그램에 참여 하기 위해서는 지정된 양식의 참가 신청서를 작성하여 이력서 (사진부착)와 추천서를 작성해서 신청하여야 하며, 별도의 참가비는 없다.

제4조

제공되는 내용 : 이 프로그램에 참여 하는 동안 왕복 항공료, 캠프 기간 내 숙식, 3박 4일 동안의 한국 관광지 여행(숙식 및 교통), 여행자 보험, 용돈 $ 500(4주)을 지원 받는다.
용돈은 캠프가 끝나고 관광지 여행을 떠날 때 일시금으로 U$500을 지급한다.

제공되지 않는 내용 : 이 프로그램에서 제공되는 것 이외의 개인적인 용무로 생긴 비용지출, 물건 구매 등은 지원되는 내용에 포함되지 않는다.

제5조

1. 참가자는 프로그램의 개최국의 법률을 준수하여야 한다.
2. 참가자는 프로그램의 운영자의 규범을 준수 하여야 한다.
3. 참가자는 자신의 병력을 반드시 “갑”에게 고지 해야 할 의무가 있다. 단 “갑”에게 고지하지 않아서 발생되는 모든 제반의 사고와 병의 발생시에 “갑에게 그 책임을 물을 수 없다.
4. 한국의 초등학교 4~중 3학년 학생을 대상으로 한 영어 캠프장에서 숙식을 한다.
5. 한국의 초등학교 4~중 3학년 학생을 대상으로 한 영어 캠프장에서 1일 6시간 영어 강의를 한다.( 1Class에 평균 10~14명이 배정되고, 영어 의사소통에 문제 없는 한국인 보조 강사가 1명이 보조로 참여한다 )
6. 강의의 진도나 과정은 “갑”이 지정해준 커리큘럼에 따른다.
7. 캠프에서 진행되는 Mission (은행, 상점 등 다양한 역할을 학생들이 분배받고 서로 물건을 거래하고 하는 등의 프로그램)에 적극 참여하고 진행에 협조한다.
8. 주말에는 캠프에 참가한 학생들과 Activity를 함께 한다.
9. 캠프에 참가하는 학생들은 참가 기간이 다를 수 있으며, “을”은 4주간을 계약 기간동안 캠프지에 머무른다.
10. 캠프 기간 동안에는 “갑”의 진행자의 지시에 최대한 협조한다.
11. 4주 후 한국 여행을 3박 4일 한다. 이 일정을 “갑”이 정한다. 이때 보조 강사나 자원봉사 학생이 가이드가 된다.
12. 캠프기간 내에는 캠프장을 무단 이탈해서는 안된다. “갑”의 허락을 받고 동의하에 캠프장을 벗어날 수 있다.
13. 캠프기간 중에는 술을 마실 수 없다.
14. 흡연은 지정된 장소외에는 해서는 안된다.
15. 캠프에 참가한 학생들에게 신체적 접촉을 하거나 구타나 욕을 하는등 법에 저촉되는 행위를 하여서는 안된다.
16. 참가자 자신의 귀중품 및 소지품은 자신이 직접 보관할 책임이 있다.

제5조

준수사항을 경미하게 위반 했을 경우 “갑”은 주의 조치를 취할 수 있다.
준수사항을 심하게 위반 했을 경우 “갑”은 “을”에게 귀국 조치를 취할 수 있으며, 이 경우 “을”은 귀국일로부터 15일 이내 왕복 항공료와 벌금 U$1,000을 “갑”에게 지불한다.
준수사항 위반이 법적으로 문제가 될 경우 관계 기관에 신고하고, 즉시 귀국 조치 할 수 있다.


제6조

1. 참가자는 , “갑”이 판단하기에 정당한 사유 없이 개인적인 사정을 이유로 일방적으로 참가 신청을 취소하는 경우 “갑”은 “을”에게 아래의 금액을 청구 할 수 있으며, “을”은 이점에 전적으로 동의 한다. 만약 “을”이 이에 불복하고 벌금의 지불을 거절하여 발생되는 모든 법률적 소송에 따르는 비용도 “을”이 책임을 지기로 한다.

가. 프로그램 출발일 20일전까지 취소 요청시 : 항공료의 20%를 벌금으로 지불
나. 프로그램 출발일 10일전까지 취소 요청시 : 항공료의 50%를 벌금으로 지불
다. 프로그램 출발일 1일전까지 취소 요청시 : 항공료의 80%를 벌금으로 지불

2. 참가자의 친족이 사망할 경우(취소료 없음)

3. 참가자의 신체에 이상이 발행하여 여행의 참가가 불가능한 것이 명백할 경우(진단서 첨부시 취소료 없음)

제7조

1. 당사와 참가자는 이 계약을 이행하는 과정에서 상호 이견의 발생할 때에는 우선 상호 협의하여 원만히 해결한다.

2. 1항과 관련하여 법률상의 분쟁이 발생하여 소송으로 이를 해결하고자 하는 경우에는 당사 소재지가 있는 관할 법원에 소송을 제기하기로 한다.

제8조

1. 천재 지변, 불의의 재해, 정부의 명령, 공공 단체의 명령, 전란, 정변, 항공기 납치, 폭동, 재난, 사기, 폭행, 상해, 질병 등 당사에 귀책되지 않는 사유로 발생한 참가자의 피해에 대하여 당사는 책임을 지지 않는다.

2. “갑”은 본 프로그램 참가기간 동안 참가자의 해외 여행자 보험에 반드시 가입하여야 한다.

3. 참가자는 출발 전 오리엔테이션에 참가하여야 하며, 여행 중에는 인솔자에게 성실히 협조하여야 한다.

5. 이 약관의 내용을 변경하고자 할 경우 당사와 참가자의 상호 합의 하에 기명 날인한 서명에 의한다.
