Source text - English 3.2 VACATION
****** Inc. strongly encourages associates to utilize vacation time as a way to refresh and recharge. Full-time associates will earn vacation time each pay period, with the rate of accrual based upon years of service to the company as follows
Length of Service Vacation Days Per Year Accrual Rate
< 2 years 7 days 2.154 hours per pay (80 hrs)
2 years 9.5 days 2.923 hours per pay (80 hrs)
(Omission)
Vacation hours do not accrue for hours worked in excess of 80 in a pay period. A maximum of 80 hours of your annual vacation entitlement may be taken as pay each year. This buy-back may only be done once a year. All requests for vacation time must be approved by your department manager and are subject to scheduling within departmental staffing requirements. Unused vacation hours will carryover each year; if you have a vacation balance more than two times your annual entitlement on your anniversary date, you will receive payment for the excess amount. Any unused vacation time will be paid out upon separation of employment.
3.4 SICK TIME (Effective 1/1/07)
Regular Full-Time associates receive (24) hours of Sick Time per year. This time is accrued at a rate of 0.923 hours per pay (bi-weekly) and recorded on your pay stub for reference.
Sick Time is to be used whenever you are absent from work for an illness for yourself, child, or spouse. Associates are required to use PTO to cover absences when no sick time is available.
Sick Time is to be used concurrently with FMLA designated leaves or any other Medical Leave.
Unused Sick Time will be carried over from year to year.
Sick time is not paid out upon termination.
