If you have a text in two languages, you can align it to produce a TM. You will then have the terminology and anything else useful ready for translating similar documents later.

The texts have to be identical for it to work, but it has its uses, for instance to build up a TM for instruction manuals where a lot of the basics may be similar, or for EU documentation, where the concordance may be helpful.

Annual reports and minutes of meetings where half the proceedings are more or less the same as last year and the year before...

Depending on the kinds of texts you work with, it can be very useful, or it may be better simply to build up your own TM as you go.

glossary Feb 20, 2015

I have uploaded some of my glossary to wordfast, but when i translate and use CTRL+alt+T to add word to my glossary, they do not seem to appear in the glossary list.
I apologise if I am asking silly questions, but I am new to wordfast.
