Term Recognition randomly skipping hits ?

I have in my WB a TU starting with: "Smartports Advisor displays the front panels ..."

If I search "Smartports Advisor" in my Termbase XXX in Multiterm XI it immediately finds a hit.

Term recognition is set to work with the same Termbase XXX

And yet "Smartports Advisor" does not appear in the terms panel of WB!

Can you tell me what is wrong with what I am doing?

Running WB 7.1.0.719 (Build 719) and TagEditor 7.1.0.719 (Build 720).

Dear Vito,

I am talking of the Term Recognition window, the one connecting to Multiterm.

Isn't penalty just a setting for normal TM processing (affecting TU match percentage)?

Luca,

I know what you mean. Sometimes I spend a considerable amount of time entering terms into Multiterm while doing the first part of a translation because I know the terms will come up over and over again, but then, as I encounter the same terms throughout the document, sometimes they get recognized and sometimes they don't, totally randomly, as far as I can tell.

Pretty annoying!

I hope someone can tell us how to solve this issue.

Hi Nora, hi Luca,
Check your term recognition settings (Options - Term Recognition Options - Settings); the default settings are a bit on the high side. I use a minimum match value of 50%, sometimes down to 30% - play around with the value to find the right balance.

Thank you Ralf. I tried changing term recognition settings for hours. They help a bit, but do not remove the huge problems.
