For 42 years, English has been the language for my education and all careers experiences. I started my work life, at the age of 21, at one of the UN missions, while I had still been studying at the university. A few years later, I finalized the university studies and service at that UN mission and an embassy in Damascus, I served my national service of two years working as a translator / interpreter.I worked for almost eleven years at the Australian Embassy in Damascus, where I also acquired more skills in property, consular, accounting and clerical assignments, all in English.I spent another almost thirteen years at the Swedish Embassy in Damascus working as the Admin Assistant, a visa officer and the Embassy’s Accountant.I served the last eight years before retiring at the age of sixty at the ICRC Delegation in Damascus, another English language work environment. Am currently working privately in translation and correspondences and benefiting from all the knowledge I acquired throughout the years.
