Source text - Lithuanian Tiriamoji problema. Investicijų portfelio valdymas yra sudėtinė platesnės – rizikos valdymo problemos dalis. Nors rizikos samprata žinoma jau nuo senų laikų, H. Markovicas pirmasis kiekybiškai susiejo grąžą ir riziką. H. Markovico pasiūlytos portfelio teorijos esmė yra ta, kad sudarant optimalų investicijų portfelį, būtina atsižvelgti ne vien tik į portfelį sudarančių vertybinių popierių tikėtiną grąžą, tačiau ir šių vertybinių popierių riziką bei tarpusavio sąveiką – kovariaciją. Optimalaus portfelio, vadinamo efektyviuoju portfeliu, parinkimo problemą H. Markovicas suformulavo kaip matematinį optimizavimo uždavinį: optimalus portfelis gaunamas fiksuojant tikėtiną arba vidutinę grąžą ir minimizuojant portfelio riziką. H. Markovicas rizikai matuoti naudojo dispersiją, t.y. simetrinį rizikos matą. Vidurkio - dispersijos modelis yra paprastas skaičiuojamuoju požiūriu, tačiau vertybinių popierių grąžos dažnai pasižymi asimetrija ir ekscesu, t.y. savybėmis kurių negalima tinkamai įvertinti naudojant vidurio – dispersijos modelį.
Translation - English Research problem. Investment portfolio management is a component of a broader part. Although the concept of risk has been known for a long time, H. Markowitz was the first one to quantifiably connect returns and associated risks. The portfolio’s, proposed by H. Markowitz, main point in theory is that by making the optimal investment portfolio it is necessary to consider not only the portfolio of securities representing the expected returns, but the risk of these securities and mutual interaction – covariance. The optimal portfolio, called the effective portfolio, selection problem, H. Markowitz formulated as a mathematical optimization problem: optimal portfolio is obtained by recording the expected or average return and minimizing the portfolio risk. H. Markowitz used to measure the risk of dispersion, i.e., symmetrical risk measure. Average - variance model is simple from the measurable point of view, but stock returns are often characterized by asymmetry and excess, i.e. properties which cannot be properly measured using mid - dispersion model.

I am Gabriele, a BA Social Anthropology student from Lithuania. I am now studying in England, and apart from my studies I spend a lot of time to discover my interests and try out many different practices. Translation, therefore, plays a very important role in my daily life, as doing English-Lithuanian and Lithuanian-English translations not only prevents me from forgetting my language and its particularities, but also gives a better insight into English, allows better understanding provides an analysis of many ways it can be used. This practice also contributes to my studies as well as to broadening my knowledge about languages, as I always enthusiastically seek for the best result, whether its an essay in English or a translation to Lithuanian.
Also, I have experience doing translations to Lithuanian people by an advert on internet website. It was a good practice and a good additional income while I was living in my country.
I can describe myself as a very curious, dedicated and hardly working person. I always choose to do work that I enjoy, hence I feel that my experience is contributing to my constant improvement, which I seek in any activity I undertake.
