I am an Englishman and have been living in Brazil since 1998.
I began working as a translator in 2001. I subsequently spent two years training and working very closely with a large international auditing firm in Brazil between 2004 and 2006, which enabled me to specialise in finance, auditing, legal work etc.
In March 2008 I acquired the translation company Latin America Translations (after working there as a project manager and partner for several years).
Through my company I have contracts with several Brazilian and international auditors and other clients concerned about quality rather than price and that require quality translation from a native speaker who understands Portuguese and has an in-depth knowledge of his fields.
I also work on a freelance translator for clients outside Brazil.
