I don't have a reay route yet. The idea is to get close to Nature, of course. So I was thinking if we start somewhere on the eastern part of the HUCHENG HE and ride along the canal westward we may have a fun trip skirting some nice parks like LONGTAN HU, TEMPLE OF THE HEAVEN, TAORAN TING and YUYUAN TAN, and end up in either XIANGSHAN or Beijing Botanical Park.

I will run this route beforehand and see how it works.

Any ideas will be welcome.

Hi, here is another option.

THere is this fine tea house near the beautiful lake just north of Beihai Park, backyard of the Imperial Palace. It's a perfect place to chat. Around the lake there are artifacts store by day and bars and coffee shops are open in the evening.

We can meet in the afternoon, have a good time in the tea house, and, when it is dinner time and if we all want to, go have dinner at this prestigious restaurant which cooks some real delicacies and is within easy walk from the tea house.

Since my place is way to the east, I will probably ride bike there. So the cycling tour is still on, at least for me! :)
