As their name implies, these drugs are used for immediate relief from pain and inflammation in the joints. Although they may help to control pain and improve function in the short-term, they are associated with gastrointestinal (Gl) distress, such as upset stomach, cramping, diarrhea, ulcers and even bleeding. Newer types of NSAIDs, called COX-2 selective inhibitors, are associated with fewer Gl side effects but increase the risk for serious cardiovascular events.
How does PIASCLEDINE®300 work?
The main components of PI ASCLEDINE®300 are unsaponifiables avocado & soybean oils. The key components are natural products of vegetal origin which passes through a patented manufacturing process of extration, separation, refining and purification. The end product is 100mg of avocado and 200mg of soybean unsaponifiables oils which are the active ingredients that deliver the therapeutic effect. The mechanism of action is two-fold: chondroprotective and chondrostimulation. The chondoprotective effect is via the inhibition of the degradation of cartilage matrix by reducing the synthesis of pro-inflammatory factors and proteases. The chondrostimulation effect is via increasing the factors involve in cartilage regeneration.
