English term

Birds-eye distance

English to Indonesian Other Tourism & Travel
Please let me know if there's an Indonesian term for this. I know the meaning, but what I need is the TERM. "Jarak...."?
The meaning is : = the distance between two points when you draw a straight line. Same as distance between two points on the satellite image.

Thanks a lot :)

jarak lurus

Dalam pemetaan, kami biasa menggunakan istilah "jarak lurus".

Dengan mengetahui jarak lurus atau jarak jalur yang menghubungkan antara dua titik dan skala petanya, maka jarak lurus atau jarak sesuai jalur dapat dihitung, jengan persamaan berikut.

jarak terpendek

The straight line distance between two points is the shortest distance, how about "jarak terpendek"?
Example sentence:

Jarak yang akan kita hitung adalah dari titik P sampai T (jarak terpendek antara garis HF dan bidang AXGY, ...

selayang pandang

This is not a literal translation; the Indonesian words would mean "as far as the eye can see"

jarak pandang mata burung

If it is literal, then I think my notion below may be accepted, however if it is not literal, I'll go with Eldira's answer.
It would have been a good idea if you presented the term context (as in a sentence, etc.).

As in bird's eye view which is translated into pandangan mata burung. It is indeed literal, yet technical. So far I have not found other terms and considered this as the closest equivalent. Last but not least, terms exist because people created them, so if you think it is suitable to start using this term with an additional foot note (if possible), it will be just great.
