no. of days before the birthday to send reminder
I'm just thinking if "Advance birthday reminder" works here. It should if there are standard options given, e.g. 1 day, 2 days or 3 days.

But isnt't the subject "no. of days" here?

Hmmm, I am a bit lost here, especially with "可能生日要被提醒,但提前几天是另有其它目的呢". Don't get frustrated with me. Please explain your thoughts one more time. I'll get it.

Hmm... are we making it a little complicated here? I find the meaning of this phrase clear. I see it more as "(no. of days before the birthday) to send reminder". Actually what you are saying seems to apply more to the "birthday to be reminded" phrase. Please let me use Yuzouren's and Qi Wei's examples (sorry, guys): (how many) days before the birthday to be reminded. In this case, the misunderstanding you described comes into play here. The phrase could be interpreted as "days before (the birthday to be reminded)".

This is what I have in the appointment book in my phone:
Subject: Lunch with XX
Location: BarNone
Start: 1100
End: 1300
Reminder: 3 hours
It just assumes users know what "Reminder = 3 hours" means.

Note from asker:
Sorry,上面应该是其中只有提前5天的那次是提醒。 |
