Mr Zhang is very stoic about hard workings.
Is this expression correct??

stoic about hardship and toil

Mr Zhang is ascetic and indefatigable.
Mr Zhang is stoic about hardship and toil.
Note from asker:
I think your answer is something which I have required. Thank you! I want to know the term STOIC to make my translation sound more academic, instead of regular term, such as industrious.

hard-working

"hard-working" is enough.

For your translation, I think it means 张先生对努力工作非常坚忍(不为所动), which deviates from the original meaning.

According to your link, if you use "stoic", I think you would convey a negative meaning, as "stoic (斯多葛主義)" is more about 坚忍。

@asker @Yi Cao

Note from asker:
Peer comment(s):

agree Diego Martins : I believe just hard-working is enough. You don't need to make the reading difficult by using terms less known. Simple is aleways better.

industrious

@Asker:
不要用 “stoic about hard workings”.

你可能想说 “对 hard working” (about hard working),但不应该用 “about”。
例如,“对花粉过敏” 是 “allergic to pollens”, 不是 “allergic about pollens”.

Mr. Zhang is a stoically industrious person.
Mr. Zhang is a stoically hard-working person.

@Asker:
Mr. Zhang is very stoic about hard workings

Note from asker:
I'm normally pretty stoic about goodbyes 这个是DICTIONARY》Com上的例子。
