Discussion

Lisa Rosengard Jul 1, 2023:
The cross-lighting answer makes sense as it gives the impression of photography taken from cameras positioned at opposite angles or sides from each other. There could be also a physical analysis or interpretation of light waves from opposite sources and the effects which the cross over has on rays of light or light waves.

cross lighting

As the name implies, cross-lighting involves two light sources illuminating the subject from opposite sides.
Although I think the "contra eje" (counter axis) part is probably redundant, since it is expressed in the cross lighting notion per se, the sample sentence could be translated something like this: "2-camera interviews, counter-axis cross-lighting."

= A cross-lit interview using two cameras.
Example sentence:

Cross lighting is nothing more than using two light sources that oppose each other in their direction.
