I have no (and never had) any intention of adding either answer as a glossary entry, nor would I agree to either answer being added as a glossary entry, firstly, because I regret to say that I personally do not like the term 'bouzouki haunts, and, secondly, because I was merely asking for help in translating that particular word as it is used in the (very lengthy) narrative that I am translating. I am sorry, but I am unable to explain precisely why I disagree with your answer, because my client has specifically asked me not to disclose or discuss the contents of the narrative with anyone, and I must respect my client's wishes.

And I disagree... I’m sorry but my suggestion was along dictionary lines. In a dictionary a μπουζουκόβιος would have to be a regular of bouzouki haunts in the same way that a μπαρόβιος would be a barfly and a καφενόβιος would be a coffeehouse regular. Therefore, a different general gloss can be misleading for other learners of Greek or translators.

In the specific context you would have to make some changes, I agree. What the narrator says is that you would find him in bouzouki haunts seven nights a week because he loved bouzouki music not because he was attracted to the places where bouzouki music was played and the environment associated with them (women, substances, etc). I hope this explanation helps with your eventual choice.
For example, you might say “not because I loved bouzouki haunts but because I was a true lover of bouzouki music”.
