splayed arch

" Arco Abocinado
cat: arc atrompetat m; eng: embrasure arch
m . Arco que tiene más luz en un paramento que en el opuesto."

Despite the translation in the previous reference, "embrasure arch" is not the normal term for this (as far as I know); it is normally called a splayed arch:

"splayed arch
Arch over an aperture with splayed jambs, i.e. with a larger span on the inside wall than on the exterior."

"splayed arch noun
: an arch with its opening at one side larger than at the other so that its intrados face is conical"

Peer comment(s):

agree philgoddard : I think "embrasure arch" or "arch-shaped embrasure" would do, even though they don't get many hits.

Thanks, Phil. Yes, I think they would; it's just that this term would be my first choice.
