AASHTO T 314, параграф 6.1.2.1:
Gripping of the specimen is accomplished through the bond
(adhesion) between the asphalt binder test specimen and the end tab. Each end tab shall be
mounted on a specially shaped pin that is part of the gripping system. The specimen shall be
mounted on the grips by positioning the end tabs in the test machine such that the end tabs fit onto
the pins and are indexed against the face of the grips.
