So you would have thought... But not so. Primary school teacher training in Guatemala, since 2012, has been a two-stage process, of which the first stage, lasting two years, is a bachillerato (which doesn't mean a bachelor's degree but a baccalaureate, as in other countries). So primary school teaching can be a area of study at high school:

Since it's the title of a course in a teacher training program, I'd say this would probably be the best option.

A course syllabus is based on a curriculum. Thus, at least at American colleges and universities, a course in curriculum design is often a required component of many degrees; indeed, this is the case for the Master of Arts in both TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and TFL (Teaching Foreign Languages) at my alma mater in California, the Monterey Institute of International Studies (now the Middlebury Institute...at Monterey [miis.edu]).
