По-моему, it's any wander несколько экспрессивнее, чем small wander и т.п.

...It's colloquial, and strictly incorrect//...though not very common, is certainly used, but it is grammatically incorrect...
на другом конце (нейтивы) говорят - improper English.
Просто воспринимаем это как устойчивое выражение и не смотрим на any :)
