interview

Explanation:
گفت و شنود is mostly used as an equivalent for "interview". The discussion between two persons on an issue through different channels media being one of them. Debate is often between more than two persons, usually a umber of people are invited to address an issue, which will enable the viewers to compare the invitees. Discussion is a scientific term and is often restricted to scientific issues. So, I think "interview" fits the Persian term.
Ex: Welcome to this interview.

For example on the گفت و شنود pages of newspapers we read about the interviews...

Further in new articles when گفت و شنود is chosen as a title page, the term used within the text is often مصاحبه which again refers to "interview". In fact, گفت و شنود and مصاحبه mostly mean the same. Mostly, rather than always, because in language teaching, e.g., گفت و شنود means "conversation"

Example sentence(s):
  • گفت و شنود آقای حسن محمدی با سردبیر روزنامه...
  • به گفت و شنود خبری ما خوش آمدید
