atria / atriums

... would definitely be a possibility, too. See previous KudoZ references (I've searched for the singular "Lichthof"). I'd prefer the plural "atria" although "atriums" is also used.

agree Stephen Smith : "atria bathed in light" or somthing to that effect might be better since architects are poets and the purpose of a Lichthof is to increase exposure to natural light.

Hallo, ich hab air well und light well gefunden. Mir gefällt letzteres besser. Zur Illustration habe ich auch noch diese Links aufgestöbert.
