Bio

I am a German freelance translator of English and French legal,
economic and financial texts.


After my studies at the Universität des Saarlandes  I worked as a translator in a conveyor-producing
company for two years and then set myself up as a freelancer.

I 
cooperate with a German lawyer who provides me with background
information.

I mainly translate texts of the following sort:

  • Contracts, business correspondence, quotations,
    quality assurance, financial statements etc.
  • Briefs and pleadings, judgements, summons and
    indictments, attorney-related correspondence, insurance texts
    etc.
  • Company descriptions, prospectuses, memorandums of
    association, articles of incorporation etc.
  • Certified translations of documents
  • Medical texts (only English - German)
  • General texts



I have been authorized by the Oberlandesgericht Hamm (Higher
Regional Court) to issue certifications of translations
in and out of both foreign languages and I have sat the
examination for the College Certificate "German Legal Language"
issued by the College of Economics Nürtlingen-Geislingen.

I use MemoQ as a CAT.
