REFERENCE [RANGE], UREA Explanation: Just guessing here, but lab results usually have a set of reference ranges, and in Mexico they are often referred to as "límites de referencia". My thinking is that this is simply an abbreviation of "referencia". For example, in lab results for BUN (blood urea nitrogent) "around 7 to 20 mg/dL (2.5 to 7.1 mmol/L) is considered normal" http://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/blood-urea-nitrog...
