Estoy traduciendo un artículo de Página 12 (https://www.pagina12.com.ar/46429-las-elecciones-en-cinco-cl... acerca de la opinión de varios consultores sobre las próximas elecciones en Argentina.

Pero hay una frase que no me cuadra y no logro entender a qué se refiere. Es la que está entre asteriscos más abajo. He pegado una gran parte del artículo para dar contexto:

To begin with, the previous subject is "el gobierno," not "Cambiemos," so a subject should be stated to avoid ambiguity. The new subject sets the style for the rest of the sentence. Otherwise, you can't really say that "it" is growing (What's growing? The government? The economy? The policy? The candidate? Growing how?)
