Seeing in historical point of view, English is diversifying due to poor transportation and geographical particularity in old times. Gullah and pidgin English (of former oriental people who communicated with Westerners) add plenty of vocabularies into this language. They are not easy to trace back by EFL users. Now we are in modern time when Internet links geographical gaps. But will languages, including English -- the most popular language of the globe, evolve in a more harmonized way? I do not ... Gullah and pidgin English (of former oriental people who communicated with Westerners) add plenty of vocabularies into this language. They are not easy to trace back by EFL users. Now we are in modern time when Internet links geographical gaps. But will languages, including English -- the most popular language of the globe, evolve in a more harmonized way? I do not think so. Many poor countries still lack easy access to the Internet due to poor infrastructure, budgets, education etc.
