I must say that I continue to be breathless at how well ProZ.com anticipates / accommodates the needs of freelance translators. . . I was tearing my hair out and tossing small wads of money down the drain trying to find an invoicing program that did only what yours now does and nothing more.

I have been a member since 2007 and most of my new customers have come through ProZ.com.

I would certainly recommend becoming a ProZ.com member. I have been able to get many jobs through ProZ.com. It's "before and after" for a translator who wishes to remain a freelancer. I cannot wait to renew my membership whenever it's due. Think about this: normally "one" project pays the annual fee.

This past year has been great. I woke up one morning deciding to go back to translating full time but I was not 100% sure that my decision was the right one. When I first started providing freelance translations I found ProZ.com a great source of information and helpful in many ways. Now it is part of my daily routine. To me ProZ.com not only means job offers, but it is a community and knowledge base and makes me enjoy work even more. I am regularly headhunted by prospective clients, because they've seen my profile on ProZ.com. That's why I stay.

Kudoz to ProZ.com and their Blueboard for translator and agency ratings!! It's worth being a paying member. I just let a company with late payment know that I was aware they had some negative feedback and that I would add mine by the end of the week if I did not receive payment by then. I also started following their profiles on LinkedIn. 5 minutes later I received my payment via Wise!

In 2023, I began shutting down my freelance translator work. At 77, I am embarking on new challenges, but always related to the linguistic skills that ProZ helped me to hone.

I began translating professionally in 1992 and I was one of the first adherents to ProZ. I have watched it grow and expand, and it has been a great help to me, especially in the early years in garnering clients that I worked with for nearly two decades in some cases. The KudoZ terminology tools were essential in helping me build my own glossaries for the types of jobs I was involved in. I recall the names of colleagues that I never had the chance to meet in person but with whom I interacted on the KudoZ platform. It has been a truly rewarding experience.

I have been working with ProZ.com for many years now and it’s the best network I have had the pleasure to work with.
